Karthik's innings was nothing short of spectacular as he reached his fifty in just 23 balls, before ending the night with a stromy 83. The right-hander's resilience was on full display as he faced the challenges posed by the SRH bowlers with confidence and determination.

In the 16th over when Pat Cummins delivered a slower ball, only for Karthik to read it early and dispatch it into the stands with a powerful six over mid-wicket. It was a testament to Karthik's skill and composure under pressure as the team crumbled after the solid start by King Kohli and Faf du Plessis.

Eventually, T Natarajan removed the RCB batter in the penultimate over, when he was just 17 runs short of his maiden IPL century. 

Karthik's heroics propelled RCB to a commanding 262/7 as they fought super-hard but lost by 25 runs in the gigantic 288-run chase.
