Fabian Allen is a superstar bowler, and is really difficult to read from the hands. Rilee Rossouw, the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots batter, felt it first hand, when he got deceived by Allen's off-break delivery in the ongoing CPL match.

St Kitts were put into bat by Antigua team, and the decision was instantly rewarded as Mohammad Amir got the prized scalp of the dangerous Andre Fletcher. Rain halted the play for a brief moment, and when the players came back, Antigua continued the momentum and snapped wickets at regular intervals.

Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan all-rounder tried his best to up the ante, but even he departed at 23. This is when Rossouw, joined hands with Mikyle Louis, as the duo tried resurrecting the innings. Just when things were starting to go back to normal, Allen struck hard with a wicket.

He bowled an off-break, which pitched outside the off and turned back in sharply to take the stumps. Rossouw went for a wild slog and gets beaten all ends up as he had to throw his wicket away for a scratchy-looking 20 off 26 balls.

Both sides need a win to bolster knockout chances

Both St Kitts and Antigua have won just a solitary game out of the 5 matches they have played. The two are struggling at the bottom of the table, occupying the 5th and 6th position respectively. 

A win here will bolster their confidence and will kick-start a new chapter. However, another defeat and the side would be on the verge of elimination from CPL 2024.
