Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru seamer Navdeep Saini had a poor outing with the ball in West Delhi Lions' latest Delhi Premier League encounter against Purani Dilli-6 at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

Chasing a moderate 142-run target, Purani Dilli-6 secured a comprehensive seven-wicket victory in the game, riding on flamboyant knocks from Arpit Rana and Vansh Bedi. 

Rana, in particular, showcased his destructive batting skills, amassing 56 runs off 43 deliveries. He targeted Delhi's premier pacer Navdeep Saini, smacking him for a huge six during his stay. 

The incident occurred during the 16th over of Purani Dilli's innings when Rana and Bedi were guiding them towards a comfortable win.

Saini started his over on an emphatic manner, conceding only three runs off his first five deliveries. However, Arpit Rana ensured a fitting finish to the over, hitting Saini for a glorious six over the cover. 

From around the wicket, Saini bowled a full-length ball outside the off stump, as Rana timed it beautifully for a magnificent six over the cover. 

Purani Dilli-6 secure their first win in DPL 2024

The southpaw remained unbeaten on 56 to ensure a commanding win for his side. On the other hand, Vansh Bedi hammered three sixes for a belligerent 18-ball 30. This was Purani Dilli's first win in the DPL 2024 as they moved to number three in the points table.
