Legendary allrounder Ellyse Perry showcased her incredible bowling attributes in Sydney Sixers' ongoing Women's Big Bash League encounter against Adelaide Strikers at North Sydney Oval.

After castling Tahlia McGrath with a ripper, the talismanic cricketer took a sharp catch on her follow-through to dismiss South Africa's established batter Laura Wolvaardt. The incident occurred during the seventh over of the Strikers' innings when Wolvaardt was forming a crucial stand alongside Bridget Patterson for the fourth wicket.

Skipper Ellyse Perry took the responsibility of providing her side a breakthrough, getting rid of Wolvaardt at a crucial juncture of the game.

After conceding eleven runs, including a six and a boundary, Perry regained his mojo, removing Wolvaardt in the fourth delivery. From over the wicket, she bowled a full-length delivery, as the Proteas skipper struck it straight down the ground.

As the ball was in the air, Perry took a magnificent catch to send Wolvaardt packing. Although she lost her balance for a few seconds, she recovered in time and managed to hold on to the catch.

Adelaide Strikers Post A Challenging Total Vs Sydney Sixers

Despite losing Tahlia McGrath and Wolvaardt cheaply, the Strikers Women posted a daunting total of 171 runs. Bridget Patterson contributed 44 runs off 32 deliveries, while Orla Prendergast and Amanda Jade-Wellington starred with the bat, playing scintillating knocks. From the Sixers' side, Lauren Cheattle and Ashleigh Gardener bowled magnificent spells, snaring seven wickets among themselves.
