Riding on Dilshan Madushanka's sensational opening spell, Sri Lanka got off to a dream start to the second half of the ongoing World Cup clash against Bangladesh in Delhi. After getting rid of Tanzid Hasan Tamim, the promising left-arm seamer dismissed Litton Das to wreak havoc in the Tigers' camp.

Chasing 280, Bangladesh had a disastrous start to their innings, with stylish southpaw Tanzid Hasan Tamim being dismissed by Madushanka in the third over.

As if it wasn't enought, Madushanka jolted the Tigers with another massive blow, getting rid of Litton, who was looking sublime in the middle.

Bowling the fourth over of his first spell, Madushanka started off with a dot ball before surprising Litton with an in-swinging yorker. The ball jagged back into the right-hander, as he was struck on his front toe. It looked dead plumb in real time; so as soon as the Lankans appealed, the umpire raised his finger, signalling Litton to make his way back to the hut.

It was a valuable breakthrough for Sri Lanka, as Litton had raced to 23 runs off just 22 balls. After his departure, skipper Shakib Al Hasan joined Najmul Hossain Shanto in the middle. As of writing, the Tigers are 48 for two in 8.1 overs.
