David Warner has displayed some tremendous consistency for more than a decade now and is not leaving any stones unturned in making World Cup 2023 a memorable one. In the 43rd game of the competition, he smashed another fifty against Bangladesh with his usual 'no fuss' attitude. He scored 53 off 61 balls but failed to kick on and get a big score as Mustafizur Rahman - 'the Fizz' produced an important breakthrough for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh scored 306 while batting first and in reply, Aussies lost Head early. However, the duo of Mitchell Marsh and Warner never looked in any trouble and took the aggressive route to put pressure back on Bangladesh.

Mustafizur though bowled a lovely fullish delivery on middle in the 23rd over that induced an uppish drive from Warner straight to mid on. Shanto took the catch but while he tried to throw the ball in air with delight on his face, the ball slipped out of his hand.

It created a bit of doubt whether he had taken it cleanly or not but Warner immediately started walking back and the umpires too confirmed it as a fair catch. This was a crucial breakthrough for Bangladesh but Warner would be disappointed that he has failed to convert another good start into a big score.
