In the ongoing match between Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers at the Perth Stadium, Thunder captain David Warner embarrassed himself after he nearly returned to the dug-out despite being not out.
The incident occurred on the 4th ball of the 10th over when Scorchers' spinner trapped David Warner in front of the wickets, but the on-field umpire was unmoved by the appeal and did not raise his finger. Perth went ahead with the review, and it seemed as if Warner too knew deep inside that he was out.
Warner Shines With The Bat Against Scorchers
The former Australia opener did not wait for the third umpire's decision and walked off the field. It was on his way back to the pavilion that he saw the big screen and realised that the ball hitting the stumps displayed the 'Umpire's Call' graphic.
The southpaw then rushed to the crease and resumed his innings. Watch the incident here.
