Shivam Dube showcased his power-hitting prowess as he smashed a six against Corey Anderson in the 25th match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County Stadium on June 12. 

During India's innings, Dube came to the crease after the team had lost three crucial wickets: Virat Kohli for a golden duck, followed by Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant. 

With a modest target of 111 runs set by the USA, the responsibility fell on Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav to steer India to victory.

Dube, initially taking his time to settle in, unleashed his power in the 15th over against Corey Anderson. The delivery, clocked at 115.9 kph, was a fuller length ball in the off-stump channel. 

Dube, known for his big-hitting capabilities, confidently stepped forward and lofted it across the line. The shot was a textbook display of power and timing, sending the ball soaring 87 meters over deep midwicket.

This crucial six not only demonstrated Dube's return to form but also provided a significant boost to India's chase. At the time of writing, India stands at 99 for 3 in 17 overs, with Dube and Suryakumar Yadav at the crease, poised to secure a must-win for the Men in Blue.
