Punjab Kings (PBKS) have found two great finishers in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma. After winning a sensational match against Gujarat Titans, they almost won the team's game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday evening at Mullanpur.
The Shikhar Dhawan-led team were struggling at 114-6 in the chase of 183 runs when Shashank and Ashutosh came to the show. The stars from the GT clash almost did the unthinkable, smashing an unbeaten partnership of 66 off 27 balls and scoring 26 runs off the last over - when they needed 29 off the last six balls.
The 25-year-old Ashutosh Sharma smashed two back-to-back maximums off Jaydev Unadkat, adding salt to the wounds. The bowler bowled two wides between the sixers.
The PBKS batter snapped two braces on the following two balls before handing the strike to Shashank as he got dropped in the deep.
The senior-partner ended the chase with a huge maximum, alas for them, they lost the game by two runs against SRH.

Eventually, Shashank ended with an unbeaten 46 off 25 balls, while Ashutosh tonked a 15-ball 33*.
