Sikandar Raza’s entertaining knock did not last long on Tuesday during Punjab Kings’ IPL 2024 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mullanpur. The Zimbabwean all-rounder got the start, smashing 28 off 22 balls after coming to chase 183, but an irresponsible shot led him to depart early in a game where he had the opportunity to finish things off.

Just after coming to bat post the second timeout, Jaydev Unadkat bowled a back-of-a-length at 130 kph. It was comparatively a slow ball, which did not allow Raza to time the scoop properly. Heinrich Klaasen, behind the wickets, made no mistake, as he completed a simple catch to end his stay.

After deceiving Raza, Unadkat remained standstill, giving a cold send-off with a poker face.

At the time of writing this, Punjab Kings are relying on Shashank Singh, who made headlines last time when Punjab faced Gujarat Titans before coming to this fixture. They are 125/6 after 16.3 overs, requiring 58 more runs off 21 balls for the victory with only four wickets in hand.

Earlier, Nitish Reddy scored 64 off 37 balls, which helped Hyderabad to post 182/9 on the board. For PBKS, Arshdeep Singh was the pick of the bowler, returning figures of 4/29.
