Earthquakes are one of the deadliest natural disasters in the world and have affected plenty of lives over the years. However, luckily earthquake occurrences during a cricket match have been very rare and have not led to any lost of lives. One of those rare moment was when an earthquake occured during an U-19 World Cup between Ireland and Zimbabwe.

It was the 2022 U-19 World Cup in the Caribbean and Ireland were going head-to-head against Zimbabwe. It was the 6th over of the game and suddenly the commentators and players felt tremors of the earthquake for almost 20 seconds.

However, the Zimbabwean batter Bennett did not looked too fuss about the earthquake and smashed the very next ball towards the square leg fence. The video that has gone viral, clearly shows the camera shaking and the players stopped for few seconds as everyone on the ground looked stunned by the sudden shaking.

It did not make a major difference though as the game continued in the same vein and Ireland won the game comprehensively as they chased down the target of 167 with eight wickets in hand on a pitch that was bit difficult to bat.
