In a thrilling encounter between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Rajat Patidar’s departure marked a significant moment in the match dynamics. 

Mumbai Indians, opting to bowl first after winning the toss, found their rhythm early on, gaining momentum as the game progressed.

Making his debut for RCB, Will Jacks faced an early setback as he departed in the 4th over, courtesy of a precise delivery from Akash Madhwal. 

However, it was Rajat Patidar who stole the spotlight with his aggressive batting, smashing two consecutive sixes and appearing poised for a substantial innings.


Yet, the 12th over brought a twist in the tale. G Coetzee, exhibiting determination, managed to dismiss Patidar, who had reached a commendable fifty off just 26 deliveries.

Despite a valiant effort, Patidar succumbed to a delivery that ended up as a glove to the keeper, Ishan Kishan.

The dismissal not only halted Patidar's impressive innings but also provided Mumbai Indians with a crucial breakthrough. Coetzee's delivery, albeit not the most threatening, proved effective as Patidar's attempt to pull across resulted in a straightforward catch for Kishan.
