Adelaide Strikers resolute Chris Lynn pulled off a sensational run out against his former team Brisbane Heat in match number 17 of the BBL 2025-26 season. Taking field at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, the 35-year-old piled on Heat’s misery with a direct hit, as his bullet throw helped the Strikers get rid of Brisbane Heat’s Matt Renshaw at 20-4.
Chris Lynn’s run out, coupled with tight bowling spells from Jamie Overton and Liam Scott enabled the Strikers to gun down the visiting Brisbane Heat side for just 121 in 19.4 overs.

Australian discard and gun fielder Chris Lynn ran out Matt Renshaw inside the powerplay to reduce Brisbane Heat to 20-4 at one stage in match 17 of the BBL 2025-26 season. Stationed at point inside the circle, Lynn hit the stumps to catch Renshaw just short of his crease before television replays adjudged him out.

Brisbane Heat’s 20-4 soon became 21-5 before Adelaide Strikers bowlers bundled out the visitors for just 121 in less than 20 overs. Jamie Overton unfurled the spell of the innings for the Strikers with figures of 3-19, claiming the important wickets of Jack Wildermuth and Xavier Bartlett in the process.
Liam Scott and Pakistan’s Hasan Ali also picked up two wickets each, while Luke Wood and Matthew Short struck once in their respective spells.
For Brisbane Heat, tailender Matthew Kuhnemann top scored with an unbeaten 31* off 22 balls with a boundary and three cracking sixes. Hugh Weibgen at number six scored a sluggish 28 off 33 balls. Wicketkeeper-batter Jimmy Peirson and captain Xavier Bartlett were the only other players for Brisbane Heat to cross the double digits.
