Prominent New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips showcased his incredible fielding attributes yet again, as he took an absolute blinder of a catch to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne in the ongoing second Test versus Australia in Christchurch.

The incident occurred in the 61st over of Australia's first innings when Labuschagne was looking all set for a valiant hundred, having already formed a valuable 32-run stand with Mitchell Starc for the eighth wicket.

Skipper Tim Southee's decision to continue from one end paid off, as he got rid of Labuschagne, batting on 90, thanks to an acrobatic catch from Glenn Phillips

Southee offered slight room outside the off stump, as Labuschagne played a well-timed aerial cut shot. However, Phillips, stationed at wide gully, flew towards his right to grab a one-handed stunner, bringing Labuschagne's stay to an end.

The all-rounder, known for his exemplary fielding skills, thus amused the spectators with his magnificent effort. Despite losing Labuschagne at 221, Australia managed to add 35 more runs to their tally, with Starc and Cummins playing priceless cameos.

In response, New Zealand have got a positive start to their second innings, placed at 77 for one in 31.1 overs, with Tom Latham and Kane Williamson batting on 40* and 36*, respectively.
