Beth Mooney is one of the most stylish and consistent batters in Women's cricket and it is rare to see her failing in consecutive games. However, the Hundred 2024 did not go her way till the time she made her way into Old Trafford for the game against Northern Superchargers Women where she ended up playing throughout the innings and scored unbeaten 99 off 54 balls.

Mooney needed two runs to get to her century on the final ball of the innings. She danced down the track to a full delivery on middle, converted into a full toss and hit it to long off. Kate Cross there collected the ball and fired a direct hit from the deep as the batters tried to steal a second run. Sophie Ecclestone running towards the danger end was short of her crease and Mooney had to settle for 99.
