The Women's Caribbean League 2024 final between Barbados Royals and Tribago Knight Riders came to a thrilling end. Hayley Matthews Royals clinched a clinical victory and lifted the trophy for the second time.

Barbados Royals had their own knights in shining armour, with Aaliyah Alleyne shining the brightest. Her exceptional performance, earning her the title of Player of the Match, was a sight to behold. She claimed a remarkable four-wicket haul in the first innings, playing a significant role in the Tribago women's downfall.

Interestingly, Alleyne also won the Best Celebration Award, a recognition given to players for their unique and entertaining celebrations after significant moments in the game. Alleyne's celebration after taking the wicket of Jannillea Glasgow on her first ball of the evening was indeed unique and entertaining.

In the twelfth over, Alleyne dished out a fuller delivery outside off, inviting Glasgow to hit her through the offside. However, Glasgow looked to target the mid-off region as there was no fielder behind mid-off, but she got no timing on that shot and the ball landed straight into the arms of Amanda Jade-Wellington at mid-off.

Immediately after the wicket, the 29-year-old ran towards her teammates in jubilation and pulled off an exciting celebration by getting down on the ground.

Barbados Royals Defend Their Title

It was a clinical victory for Barbados Royals, as they outclassed the Tribago Knight Riders on the biggest night of the tournament. For the second time, they have been crowned the Women's Caribbean Premier League champions. Chamari Athapaththu took her side home on the big night with a memorable knock. The Lankan Giant slammed an unbeaten 39 off 47 balls, helping the Royals chase 94 runs in the finale.
