After a historical win in the first of the two match Test series, Bangladesh are ready to take on Pakistan in the second game. Like the first match, the second and final match of the series will also be played at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium.

Rain delays toss in PAK vs BAN, 2nd Test

This is an important game for the home team as they would be looking to notch up their performance, win the game and draw the series, while picking up some valuable WTC points. However, as per the latest visuals from the ground, it is pelting in Rawalpindi. Multiple puddles have formed in the outfield and the toss has officially been delayed. The current pictures from the venue are not at all promising.

As far as the weather forecast (accuweather) for the day is concerned, it is also not promising. The area has already experienced a thunderstorm this morning and it is expected that there will be further rain through out the day. Chances are there that the skies might clear up a bit after 2 PM Local time. However, the current ground conditions gives the vibe that it will take a lot of time for the ground staff to make it play ready. So, even if rain stops, not much of play is expected for the day.

Bangladesh won the first Test

Notably, Bangladesh won their first ever Test on Pakistan soil in the last game. Pakistan batted first in the match and posted 448/6 before declaring the innings. In reply Bangladesh posted a mammoth 565 and took a 117 runs lead.

In the second innings, the Bangladeshi spinners weaved their magic and bundled out Pakistan for just 146. The visitors needed 30 runs to win the game, which they chased down without losing a single wicket. With that Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side wil be looking to hold onto or extend the lead they have and leave Pakistan with a historic Test series under their belt.
