Despite his silly mistakes on the field as well as his crazy remarks, Babar Azam always seems like a nice person. The 29-year-old recently made headlines for another heartwarming gesture during Pakistan’s warm-up fixture in Australia against Prime Minister’s XI, taking place in Canberra.

After a horrific campaign in the World Cup 2023 under his leadership, Babar Azam decided to quit Pakistan’s captaincy across all formats. After his resignation, Shan Masood was named Pakistan’s Test captain, whereas Shaheen Afridi was chosen as the Men in Green’s T20I skipper.

Masood’s first assignment as captain will be a three-match Test series in Australia, scheduled to begin on December 14 in Perth. Before that, Pakistan are in action in a warm-up fixture against the Prime Minister’s XI. There, both Masood and Babar were on the field, and while leaving for the day, the gesture that he made for his successor melted many hearts.

Captains typically lead from the front as they exit the field. However, Masood was far behind when all the players were leaving the field. Babar saw that, and he told Masood to come in front. While Masood was smiling and not too interested in that, Babar forced him to come, bringing happiness to Pakistani fans.
