The ongoing four-day tour match for Pakistan against Prime Ministers XI in Canberra has been a mixed bag.

While Pakistan skipper Shan Masood slammed his maiden First-Class double hundred, other batters failed on Day 2 of the match as the visitors declared on 391 for 9.

After early runs from Marcus Harris and Cameron Bancroft, Matt Renshaw who is eying a place in Australia's Test side this summer, joined forces with Cameron Green and held fort for PM XI.

On Day 3, however, Bancroft who was nearing his fifty, could not have imagined in what manner he would reach the milestone.

Batting on 47 against Abrar Ahmed, Bancroft played an exquisite on-drive which the fielder was able to stop and throwback to Babar Azam, who hastily threw the ball towards keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed, which bounced just inches ahead of him and bounced away for four runs, giving the Australia opener seven runs.

Renshaw reached his 50 in 136 balls, thanks to sloppy fielding from Pakistan, which resulted in seven runs.

At Tea on Day 3, Renshaw looks well set for his 21st FC century, batting on 99 off 251 ball along side captain Nathan McSweeney (34*), with PM XI trailing Pakistan by 91 runs.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will play Australia in the first Test on December 14 at the Perth Stadium in Perth.
