Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam disappointed his team and fans yet again, as he was dismissed cheaply for 22 runs in the second innings of the ongoing Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This was Babar's second straight poor outing with the bat after he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings.

The incident occurred during the 26th over of Pakistan's second innings when Babar was trying to form a consolidating stand alongside Abdullah Shafique after Shan Masood's dismissal

However, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto's call to hand the ball to Nahid Rana proved to be a tactical masterstroke, as the right-arm pacer castled Babar to swing the game into the visitors' favour.

After conceding four runs off his first two balls, Nahid came over the wicket to bowl a full-length delivery outside the off stump, inviting Babar for a drive. The batter fell in his trap, as he miscued the shot, with the ball shattering his stumps.

Pakistan in deep trouble in 1st Test vs Bangladesh

After Babar Azam's dismissal, newly appointed vice-captain Saud Shakeel fell prey to wily spinner Shakib Al Hasan.

The ball turned sharply, beating the southpaw, as Litton Das dislodged the bails in a flash. As of writing, Pakistan were tottering at 69 for four, with first innings' centurion Mohammad Rizwan batting alongside Abdullah Shafique.
