Pakistan's Test captain Shan Masood sustained his lean patch as he was dismissed cheaply in the second innings of the ongoing match against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Coming at three, Masood managed only 14 runs before Bangladesh's ace pacer Hasan Mahmud got his prized scalp on day 5 morning session.

The incident occurred during the 12th over of Pakistan's second innings when Masood was trying to steady the ship alongside talented opener Abdullah Shafique.

After in-form pacer Shoriful Islam conceded a single off his first over of the day, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto brought Hasan Mahmud into the attack.

His move paid rich dividends for the visitors, as the right-arm pacer sent Masood packing. It was a length delivery outside the off stump, with the Pakistani skipper playing a cut shot.

Initially, it seemed that he missed it; however, the Bangladesh players were convinced of an outside edge. So, as soon as the umpire declared Masood not out, Shanto went upstairs to challenge the decision.

In the replay, the ultra-edge showed a definite spike, with the TV umpire asking his on-field colleague to overturn his decision.
