Indian T20I star Rinku Singh recently opened up about his dream of playing alongside two of Indian cricket's most prominent figures—Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. 

Rinku, who has carved out a niche for himself in the T20 format, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to share the dressing room with these cricketing icons. 

In a candid statement, Singh revealed, "It was my dream to play with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. When I played with them and shared the dressing room, it was a surreal moment for me." 

This moment marked a significant milestone in Singh's career, highlighting his deep admiration for the veteran players.

Rinku Singh, who made his ODI debut in December of the previous year, was part of the Indian squad during the Test series against England earlier this year. Despite his limited Test experience, Singh's contribution to the T20I squad has been notable. 

He recently earned the 'Fielder of the Series' award for his exceptional fielding during India's 3-0 T20I series win against Sri Lanka. His performance underscores his growing importance in the Indian cricket team.

Rinku Singh Disheartened by Duleep Trophy Exclusion

Despite his impressive performances, Singh's name was notably absent from the recently announced Duleep Trophy squads, which included prominent Indian stars such as KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill. 

Reflecting on the omission, Singh revealed in an interview that he maintained a positive outlook.

"I didn't do well. I actually didn't play as many Ranji Trophy matches too, I played only 2-3 matches and didn't perform well. That is why I wasn't selected. I hope in the upcoming games, I will be selected," he told.
