David Warner played one of the World Cup 2023's most memorable knocks on Friday (October 20) during Australia's all-important match against Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

The southpaw scored 163 off just 124 balls, laced with 14 fours and nine sixes, before Haris Rauf ended his entertaining stay during the 43rd over of the innings.

Having conceded 59 runs off his first four overs, Haris came to bowl the 43rd over, and Warner welcomed him with a thunderous six. The opener wanted to get the same result on the following delivery, only to be deceived by an excellent slow delivery.

Shadab Khan, who came as a substitute fielder, did not make any mistake before grabbing the catch comfortably at long-on.

As Warner was disappointed not to convert it into a double century, Babar Azam was quick to praise him. Babar gave the veteran opener a handshake as a gesture of appreciation when he was leaving the field. The moment, unsurprisingly, went viral in no time.

At the time of writing, Australia are on 340/5 after 45 overs, with Marcus Stoinis holding the key for their massive total.
