Mitchell Marsh went downtown against Usama Mir on Friday (October 20) during Australia’s World Cup clash against Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. As the ball bounced back after going into the roof, the Australian all-rounder smashed a 90-metre six against the leg-spinner.

During the 15th over of Australia’s innings, Mir, coming to bowl in his first World Cup match, flighted delivery to Warner. However, the length was not too great, as it was right into Marsh’s arch, and thus, the Aussie was outing for it before sailing it over bowler’s head.

As soon as the ball hit Marsh’s bat, the power behind it suggested it would go to a long distance. As so it happened, as a 90-metre six was confirmed later by the host broadcaster.
