Avesh Khan struck with the first ball of the day in Hyderabad in Match 50 of IPL 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and SRH. Abhishek Sharma became his victim, as it was a perfect plan set by the Sanju Samson-led side which left the bowler in smiles after execution.

After SRH won the toss and opted to bat, the Orange Army had to get off to a blistering start with the help of swashbuckling openers Travis Head and Abhishek. However, Abhishek failed to do his bit, as he fell to Avesh within the four overs of the contest.

It was a short delivery by Avesh, bowled at 124.9 kph, which Abhishek tried to play over deep square leg in an attempt for six. However, the timing was not there at all, leaving the ball go straight into the hands of Dhruv Jurel, who was nicely placed there by Sanju Samson.

In the process, Abhishek, who earlier smashed a delightful six against R Ashwin, departed for a paltry 10-ball 12.

At the time of writing this, SRH are 74/2 after 9.5 overs, with Nitish Reddy and Travis Head in the middle, batting on 11* and 44* respectively.
