Virat Kohli's strike rate in T20s has been the talk of the town for a while now. Even the talismanic batsman could not resist himself while commenting on that in the middle of the IPL 2024, not once but twice.

The same question came to Ajit Agarkar and Rohit Sharma when they attended the press conference to speak about India's vision for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, to be played in the West Indies and the USA.

However, neither Agarkar nor Rohit talked directly about the matter, while they moved on to a different perspective altogether. They highlighted Kohli's presence in the World Cup matters a lot, and there are enough people who can back things up even if he plays at a slow pace when the situation demands.

“We have not been discussing his strike rate. There’s difference between IPL and international cricket. You need experience. We have got enough balance and power in the team. You look and try take positives from what is happening in IPL. Pressure of a World Cup game is different,"  Ajit Agarkar said to the reporters whle Rohit kept silent.

India's T20 World Cup campaign will get underway on June 5 against Ireland. The tournament will begin on June 2, with the USA, one of the two hosts, facing Canada to kick off the proceedings.
