Swashbuckling Australian batter Travis Head had a horrible outing in Sunrisers Hyderabad's ongoing IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings as Arshdeep Singh's lethal delivery sent him packing for a golden duck. 

The incident occurred during the very first over of SRH's innings after Punjab posted a competitive 214-run total on the board. Bringing Arshdeep straight into the attack worked wonders for the Kings, with the ace left-arm seamer rattling Travis Head for a duck. 

Coming from over the wicket, Arshdeep bowled a good length delivery that came back into Head sharply after pitching around the fourth stump. The batter's feet went nowhere as the ball went on to castle his off stump. 

This was a rare failure from Head, who has been incredibly consistent with the bat in the tournament. 

Overall, in 12 IPL 2024 innings, the Aussie opener has hammered 533 runs at a blistering strike rate, playing a pivotal role in SRH's resurgence as a ruthless force. 

After Head's departure, Abhishek Sharma was joined by Rahul Tripathi in the middle. As of writing, the hosts were 17 for one in 1.4 overs, with Sharma and Tripathi batting on 1* and 15*, respectively.
