Sanvir Singh received applause from reigning World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins on Sunday when Sunrisers Hyderabad were up against Punjab Kings in Match 69 of IPL 2024 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

The incident happened when T Natarajan bowled a slow delivery to hard-hitting Ashutosh Sharma during the 19th over of Punjab's innings. Placed at short cover, Sanvir back-paddled quickly and completed a catch with a reverse-cup technique while his body was up in the air.

It was a kind of Australian mentality from Sanvir, as players from Cummins' homeland never give up whenever they attempt a catch.
