Ireland Women have registered a thrilling win over Sri Lanka Women by seven runs to level the two-match T20I series at Prembroke Cricket Club in Dublin. It was quite a roller-coaster of a game with Ireland posting a strong total of 173 on the board after batting first. 

Gaby Lewis scored century for Ireland, and in reply, Sri Lanka played positive cricket, but with 16 needed off the final over, Arlene Kelly kept her cool and gave away just eight runs to take her side over the line.

The first ball of the final over was a single off a full toss. The second one was a leg bye while the third one was a dot, which put Ireland right on top. With 14 needed off 3 balls, Kavisha Dilhari smashed a six and got to her fifty as well. However, the last two balls were dots and the happiness and relief on the faces of Irish players showed what it meant to them.

Earlier, Harshitha Madavi scored 65 off just 44 balls, but it was not enough in the end, and the series levelling win is a big boost for Ireland ahead of the three-match ODI series between the two sides.
