Sri Lanka women, who recently secured a historic Asia Cup triumph by defeating Smriti Mandhana-starred India, are currently in Ireland for a two-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series.

However, Gaby Lewis made them look like fools on Tuesday when they met again for the second T20I at Pembroke Cricket Club, Dublin. The 23-year-old smashed a superb hundred, and she reached the landmark with a terrific boundary through the fine leg region.

Soon after, Lewis removed her helmet, and the entire dressing room gave her a standing ovation to congratulate her.

Lewis made 119 off 75 balls, which had 17 fours and two sixes. It helped Ireland to post 173/3 on the board batting first. In reply, Sri Lanka are 158/7 after 19 overs. They require 16 runs to win the match, as well as win the series. Notably, they won the series opener by seven wickets.

It was Lewis second T20I hundred for Ireland, with the first coming against Germany in the opening game of the ICC T20 World Cup European Qualifier back in 2021.
