Adil Rashid, the No. 1 T20I bowler in the world, proved his worth on Tuesday evening when Northern Superchargers were up against London Spirit in Match 29 of The Hundred 2024 at Headingley, Leeds.

The prolific leg-spinner took as many as three wickets against London Spirit while conceding just 16 runs off his 20 deliveries, and the highlight of his bowling was the way he dismantled Andre Russell, arguably the most dangerous hard-hitting batsman in the world at present.

It was a lovely googly by Rashid which got the better of Russell, who was batting on 3 off 9 balls. The West Indies all-rounder could not pick the line of the delivery before the ball went on to hit the off stump.

Russell was stunned at the crease for a while, while Nicholas Pooran dislodged one bail, which was hanging over the stump.
