Pakistan will have Arshad Nadeem, their golden boy of the Paris Olympics 2024, in their dressing room before they take on Bangladesh, starting on August 21.

Jason Gillespie, Pakistan's current head coach of the Test set-up, confirmed that Arshad has been invited to join, particularly after watching the excitement among Pakistan Shaheen's joy during his emphatic triumph.

"We would love to invite Arshad Nadeem to the dressing room as well. I saw all the Shaheens cheering him on during the Olympics. Having him visit and share his gold medal with the team would be a fantastic boost, especially with the Olympic spirit still in the air. It was a wonderful moment, and we extend an open invitation for him to visit the dressing room," Gillespie said, as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.

PAK Vs BAN To Begin On August 21

The two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi. After that, they will go face to face at National Stadium, Karachi for the second Test match, which will get underway on August 30.

Notably, Bangladesh, despite political turmoil, have already reached Pakistan for the Test assignment. The likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, among others, will be in action in less than two weeks time.
