KL Rahul continued his red-hot form in the World Cup 2023 with a flamboyant century at his home ground M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during India's World Cup 2023 clash against the Netherlands on Sunday (November 12).

The wicket-keeper batsman also became the fastest Indian to hit a century (in terms of balls) in the history of the ODI World Cups, crossing the three-digit mark in just 62 balls.

More significantly, the manner in which Rahul got to his seventh ODI hundred caught a lot of attention.

Rahul often hits a shot with a nonchalant flick for six. The stylish wicket-keeper batsman did the same yet again, as he sent Bas de Leede into the crowd during the last over of India’s innings to achieve the landmark.

The shot, as well as his knock, was so beautiful to watch that even Anushka Sharma, who is reported to be pregnant, went up on her feet to applause Rahul.
