The Abu Dhabi T10 League is heating up with its fast paced action. In the 25th match of the tournament, the Deccan Gladiators took on the Bangla Tigers. The Gladiators won the toss in the game and elected to field first.

The Bangla Tigers struggled to score runs from the very beginning of their innings. Richard Gleeson bowled a wonderful spell of two overs, where he picked up three wickets for 10 runs and put the opposition on the back foot. While, the Tigers failed to put on a competitive total on the board, Anrich Nortje was a part of the Gladiators did not have a memorable outing. 

Anrich Nortje Failed To Effect A Run Out With His Footballing Skills

Although he was not expensive in his spell of two overs, he failed to contribute effectively in any dismissal. Even in the one attempt where he tried to do a run out with his foot-balling skills, he failed to impact it.

On the last delivery of the innings, Nortje bowled a full delivery into the block hole. Shakib dug it out and was looking for a quick single. The South African pacer ran  in his follow through and tried to hit the stumps but it went past the wood work. This failed attempt by Nortje reminded fans of former Spanish footballer, Fernando Torres. The infamous striker had a embarrassing situation when he missed a open goal against Manchester United in the English Premier League more than a decade ago.

In the chase, the Deccan Gladiators made light work of the target. Nicholas Pooran and Jos Buttler played short but fiery cameos and took the team to a nine wicket win with nearly half of the deliveries remaining.
