It has been a tough few months for India's Shubman Gill. After a stellar IPL season, the Ahmedabad top-show has become a 'NO SHOW' as he failed to deliver the goods in the WTC final, and struggled against the West Indies in the away series.

His poor form continued in the ongoing Asia Cup match against Pakistan, when Gill was knocked over by Haris Rauf for a scratchy looking 10 off 32.

With rain playing a cat and mouse game, the sun finally came out, and it was expected that Gill would find his rhythm against a top-notch Pakistan attack, but that didn't happen as Rauf had some other plans. Having bowled a good length ball outside the off, Gill poked with hard hands and got an inside-edge onto the stumps.


The right-handed batter looked shell shocked, and lost a great opportunity to get his lost form back.

Taling about the match, India started off well, but the arrival of rain halted their momentum as Shaheen Afridi got rid of both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He delivered a pearler to breach Rohit's defence and got an inside-edge from Kohli as the former skipper departed for just 4.

Ishan Kishan, who came into bat at number 5, has so far shown grit and determination against the Pakistan bowling attack. India at the moment are tottering at 89 for 4 inside 17 overs.
