Things aren't looking too great for Team India, as both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have departed early. In a high-tense and high-pressure situation, One-Man, Shreyas Iyer walked the on-field and announced his arrival in full style by smashing boundaries so powerfully, that he shattered the bat in bits.

During the Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on a Saturday, Haris Rauf shattered Shreyas Iyer's bat with his lightning-fast delivery.

In the current phase of the game, India experienced rapid dismissals, losing their opening batsmen Rohit Sharma 11(22) and Virat Kohli 4(4). Currently, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill are at the crease.

Prior to this, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah marked their comeback to the Indian ODI squad. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first against traditional rivals Pakistan in their opening Group A match of the Asia Cup. 

Both Iyer and Bumrah have returned to the 50-over format for India after recuperating from back injuries. Bumrah had also participated in two T20Is against Ireland the previous month.
