After helping KKR breach the 200-run mark through his blistering knock, Andre Russell showcased his bowling prowess in the ongoing game against SRH as he dismissed the well-set Abhishek Sharma in a crucial juncture. 

The incident occurred in the eighth over of SRH's innings when KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer introduced the all-rounder into the attack in pursuit of a breakthrough.

His move worked wonders for the two-time champions, as the veteran all-rounder got rid of Sharma, who was looking set in the middle. 

Russell, who played a pivotal role for KKR with the bat, started his over casually, as Sharma hit him for a glorious boundary. However, he made a remarkable comeback in the next ball, dismissing the southpaw with a lethal bouncer. 

The West Indies cricketer bowled a bouncer that took Sharma by surprise. The Punjab batter went for a hook shot, but eventually ended up top-edging it to the fine leg. 

Varun Chakravarthy, stationed at the fine leg boundary, committed no mistake, holding on to an easy catch and helping Russell pick his first wicket of the day. 

However, riding on the batters' clinical performance, SRH are in a commanding position, placed at 99 for two in 10 overs, with Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram batting on 14* and 15*, respectively.
