[Watch] Mayank Agarwal's Classy Drive Against Mitchell Starc Silences KKR Fans

Mitchell Starc created history in the IPL 2024 auction when he was bought for 24.75 Crore and KKR fans would be hoping that he lives up to his billing this season. In the first match at Eden Gardens, he did hit a boundary on the first delivery he faced, but with the ball, he could not make an impact in his first spell and gave 22 in his first two overs.

One of the boundaries against him came off the bat of Mayank Agarwal and it was a delightful straight drive off the middle of his blade. It was an overpitched delivery on the off-stump line and Agarwal lunged forward and managed to beat the mid off fielder as he timed it beautifully and in the gap.

Mayank Agarwal scored 32 off 21 balls but could not convert his start into a big score, as he ended up losing his wicket in the last delivery of the Powerplay. 

However, his knock has given SRH a great start and with Abhishek Sharma also firing at the other end, SRH would be backing themselves to chase down the mammoth target of 209 set by KKR in the first innings.
