The 23rd Women's game of the Hundred 2024 turned out to be quite a productive game for London Spritis as the home team registered a comprehensive win by eight wickets. They first reduced Manchester Originals for just 112, and then chased it off by losing just two wickets.

However, both of those wickets were of lovely deliveries. The first one of Meg Lanning by Filer and then of Cordelia Griffith by Alice Monaghan. The wicket of Griffith came on the 26th ball when the right-handed seamer bowled a length-delivery on off and got it to nip off the pitch sharply into the batter.

It found the gap between the bat and pad as the batter tried to push it away and knocked over the stumps.

However, the joy was short-lived and the experienced duo of Georgia Redmayne and Heather Knight showed great maturity to take the home team over the line of the 92nd ball. With the ball, Charlie Dean picked three wickets while Sarah Glenn got two wickets with Indian star Deepti Sharma also picking one wicket. 

With this win, London Spirits have moved to the third spot on the points table, and Manchester Originals are languishing at the number 6 position.
