The World Cup 2023 is up and running and in the 13th match of the tournament, England are going up against Afghanistan on a flat deck at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Buttler has won the toss and has put Afghanistan into bat and in reply Rahmanullah Gurbaz came out all guns blazing, smashing English bowlers all over the park. Ibrahim Zadran, his opening partner at the other end, also supported him well as the duo build a solid opening stand of 114 runs in quick time.

However, in the 17th over of the game, Adil Rashid produced a beautiful loopy delivery that got the better of Ibrahim Zadran, handing England their first breakthrough. A much-needed which opened the floodgates and soon Afghans lost two more wickets to bring England right back in the game.

Ibrahim Zadran scored 28 off 48 balls but he would be pretty disappointed that he could not convert his start on a very flat deck at Kotla. At the time of writing, Afghanistan have lost three wickets with 139 on the board at the end of 24 overs.
