The big match between India and Pakistan had its fair share of tense moments in the past that have raised the pressure on the players and fans. The ongoing World Cup 2023 clash between the heavyweights saw some thrilling action that included one heart-in-the-mouth moment involving skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, bringing back old memories.

It was the third ball of the ninth over when Rohit played a gentle push towards the mid-on region where pacer Shaheen Afridi was stationed, who collected the ball and didn't take much time to throw it at the keeper's end. However, during that time, Sharma was halfway down the track, whereas Kohli was just out of his crease when they finally decided to go for it.

Therefore, running towards their respective ends, Rohit reached safely, but Kohli, who was running towards the danger end, had to dive in hard as the ball missed the stumps to his luck with the keeper a little far away from that end.

The replays, when played, showed Kohli out of his crease when the ball passed the stumps, but luck was in his favour at that moment as it turned out to be a wide throw with the keeper not close to it. Later, Virat got up and looked at his partner Rohit, after which they shared a smile because of getting away without much damage.

Kohli got saved on that occasion as India's score was 69 for the loss of one wicket while chasing 192. Nevertheless, this life for the right-hander didn't have much impact on the game, mainly since he only added two more runs to his tally, where the superstar could only manage 16 in this encounter.

Earlier, batting first, Pakistan were bowled out for 191 after spirited India made a solid comeback in the match, as the opposition were 155 for two at one stage. In reply, Rohit batted well and scored a thumping 86, with India winning the match by seven wickets.
