Australia is taking on Namibia in the 24th match of the T20 World Cup 2024. This match is being played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to field first. The Australian bowling attack came out all guns blazing as they destroyed the Namibian batting line-up. Wickets kept tumbling, and the African team kept sinking deeper into the hole.

Adam Zampa deceives the batter with a classic googly

Adam Zampa was particularly brilliant on the day as he picked up four wickets from his four overs and conceded only 12 runs. The final wicket of his spell was that of Bernard Scholtz. It was a classic well-deceived googly for a leg-spinner. Scholtz was looking to reach the pitch of the delivery and play a booming drive. But the ball snuck through the gap between the bat and the pad and clatters into the woodwork behind the batter. This was the eighth wicket to fall in the Namibian innings at a team score of 43 runs.

This wicket marked the 100th T20I wicket for Adam Zampa. He became the first ever Australian bowler to achieve the feat. He also has more than 300 T20 Wickets under his belt. He is the second Australian with the record, along with Dan Christian.

Australia kept up their brilliant work and bundled out the Namibian team for just 72 runs.
