The 10.1 over witnessed the action when Azmatullah Omarzai, the Afghan fast bowler, delivered a short-pitched delivery over the wicket. It was a well-executed delivery, causing the ball to rear up as Imam-ul-Haq attempted to pull it. Unfortunately for Pakistan, the execution of the shot didn't match the intent, and the ball flew off the bat's face, heading towards the mid-wicket region.

Naveen, the agile fielder stationed at midwicket, reacted swiftly, lunging forward to grab the chance. The crowd held their breath as the ball hung in the air momentarily before settling safely into Naveen's hands.

Imam-ul-Haq's departure for 17 runs from 22 balls marked a significant setback for Pakistan. As he trudged back to the pavilion, it was evident that the soft dismissal had left a sense of disappointment in his stride. The wicket signaled a breakthrough for Afghanistan, putting Pakistan at 1 down for 56 runs after 10.1 overs.

At the time, Pakistan is at 64/1 at the end of 12 overs, with Abdullah Shafiq and Babar Azam leading at the crease.
