To upstage the mighty tournament hosts, the BlackCaps require their vaunted pace attack, including left-arm swing master Trent Boult to raise his game and dent the in-form Indian top-order.

The HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala has one of the most balanced pitches in this World Cup. The batters have enjoyed playing shots, with the track's pace and bounce aiding in stroke play. More importantly, they have been rewarded for taking the aerial route, as the ball travels faster here than in the other venues. 

Meanwhile, the seamers have got more swing in Dharamsala as compared to the other venues. Although the seam movement for the pacers has been marginal, the spinners have found a hint of turn in all three games. 

So, we expect a hard surface with a tinge of grass to hold it throughout the day. Considering it's the fourth match in Dharamsala, there could be some uneven bounce at times, which the seamers can exploit by hitting the deck hard. Overall, it will be a decent surface to bat on, with the toss-winner likely to field first, keeping the track record and dew in mind.

Team India is yet to lose a single game this competition, as they handed out comprehensive defeats to Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh in successive matches upfront.
