Chris Gayle at his prime was probably the most destructive batter in the world cricket and it made him a crowd favourite, not only in the Caribbean, but across the globe. He gained lot of popularity in India with his exploits for RCB and the man is fondly known as the 'Universe Boss.'

He is a retired man now and is currently playing in the International Masters T20 League for West Indies. He failed in the first game, but in the second match against the English team, the left-handed batter turned back the clock with 39 off just 19 balls.

Gayle Takes West Indies Off To A Flier

He was silent for the initial two overs and then Chris Gayle unleashed himself against Ryan Sidebottom. The first six was off a fullish delivery, outside off. There was a bit of swing away from the left-handed bowler but Chris Gayle stood tall and launched it over wide long off for a maximum.

The English pacer then targeted the stumps, but the ball was in the arc for Gayle again and he effortlessly flicked it all the way over deep mid-wicket for a sixer. It was some hitting from the big man and it brought back memories of his destruction for RCB.

Overall, Gayle hit four sixes and three fours in his knock and made sure that West Indies get off to a flier against a strong English bowling attack. They already have a win under their belt and would look to keep their winning momentum going while England are searching for their first win after a loss in the opening game.
