Andre Russell is one of the fearsome hitters of the cricket ball and when he is on a roll, it is hard to stop him. His power and ability to tonk the best of the bowlers in the world is second to none and in the second match of ILT20, Russell was at his vintage best.
The big Caribbean star is playing for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and they are against Desert Vipers who have Mohammad Amir in their ranks. The battle between the two was always going to be fascinating and it turned out that way with Russell coming out supreme against the Pakistan pacer.

Russell Starts ILT20 2025 With A Bang
It was the 19th over of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders' innings and was a crucial one from the game's point of view. The first ball was a length one, outside off and Andre Russell with all his might, pumped it over deep extra cover for a maximum. The second ball was a dot, but the third one turned out to be a full toss and Russell launched it over long with ease.
The next ball was outside off and fuller in length. Russell was ready for it as he slashed it over point for a boundary. Russell eventually got run out on the final ball of the innings and scored 30 off 14 balls which included two fours and three sixes.
Earlier, Desert Vipers won the toss and decided to bowl first and it was Phil Salt at the top of the order who displayed his power with magnificent 71 off just 49 balls. Alishan Sharafu also scored crucial 46 runs and they would be looking to complement it with good bowling performance.
