Rohit Sharma's onslaught vs Starc (X.com)
Rohit Sharma launched a counterattack against Mitchell Starc on Monday (June 24) when India met Australia in a much-anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium.
The India captain, immediately after India lost Virat Kohli, smashed four sixes and a four against Starc, easily the most dangerous fast bowler in Australia's setup.
It was a stand-and-delivery six by Rohit to welcome Starc in the third over of India's innings. Then, on the next delivery, he went over mid-wicket for another maximum. Rohit did not stop there, smashing a brutal four over mid-on for another four, making 16 runs off three balls.

Then the biggest six off the over came, which went over deep mid-wicket for a 96-metre six. After that, to finish things off with a flyer, Rohit slammed a six off the last ball, making it a 29-run over, Starc's most expensive over in T20I cricket.
At the time of writing this, rain has interrupted the India versus Australia fixture. Before it, India have raced to 43/1 in 4.1 overs, with Rohit batting on 41* off just 14 balls.
