Phil Salt came into the KKR squad as a late replacement of Alex Hales and is already proving his worth with some swashbuckling hitting at the top of the order. In KKR's second game of IPL 2024 against RCB at Chinnaswamy, Salt came out all guns blazing and hammered RCB's premier bowler Mohammed Siraj all over the park.

RCB were invited to bat first by Shreyas Iyer after winning the toss and the home team ended up scoring 182 on the board on the back of a brilliant 83 by Virat Kohli. However, in reply, KKR slammed 85 in the Powerplay with Phil Salt and Sunil Narine catching RCB off guard.

Talking about Salt's antics in the first over, it started with a six off the pull shot on the second delivery and was followed by a fierce square cut on the very next ball. The next two balls were single but the final one was again pumped down the ground for a stunning six.

Salt eventually departed in the 8th over on 30 runs off just 20 balls and provided a perfect platform for KKR in their bid to chase down the target of 183 set by RCB.
