The much-awaited clash between RCB and KKR at M. Chinnaswamy is all set to unfold and KKR have won the toss and elected to chase at the venue that is known to be a happy hunting ground for the team batting second.

The Shreyas Iyer-led KKR have made a big change by dropping Nitish Rana who led them in the 2023 season and have brought in Anukul Roy in his place. RCB, on the other hand, are playing the same team that won the last game against PBKS but it would be interesting to see who they choose as Impact Player in this game.

Here are the playing XIs of both the sides -

Kolkata Knight Riders Playing XI: Philip Salt (wk), Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Mitchell Starc, Anukul Roy, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy.

Impact Players: Suyash Sharma, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Playing XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat (wk), Alzarri Joseph, Mayank Dagar, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal.

Impact Players: Suyash Prabhudessai, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Swapnil Singh, and Vijaykumar Vyshak.

In the last game, Mahipal Lomror was used as an Impact Player by RCB when they needed an extra batter in the chase, but this time around, they might use Karn Sharma or Vijaykumar Vyshak in the second half.

As far as KKR is concerned, they are most likely to use 18-year old Angkrish Raghuvanshi as an Impact Player who was handed his debut cap ahead of the game, and let’s see how KKR goes about its business after a morale-boosting win in the first game.

Both teams have some power-packed performers and we can expect a run-feast at Chinnaswamy as one of the oldest rivalry in the IPL is set to catch fire again.
