Glenn Maxwell is one of the biggest match-winners in world cricket and if you drop him twice in the same match, you are bound to pay a heavy price. In the match 10 of IPL 2024, KKR have committed that crime and it led to frustration not only among players and management but also among their passionate fans.

Maxwell was dropped in the consecutive overs 13th and 14th and the first one of those was against Narine who produced a big top edge off the blade of Maxwell as he tried to hit one out of the ground. It was a fullish delivery on the middle stump line and Maxwell went for a big slog-sweep. 

However, he failed to get the desired distance and only got the elevation. Harshit Rana at deep mid-wicket ran to his left and got both hands to the ball, but the ball popped out of his hand at the last moment creating a sense of frustration among KKR fans.

Narine, the bowler was exceptionally disappointed by the effort and that probably distracted him as he himself ended up dropping a catch in the next over. However, Narine finally had the last laugh when he got the better of Maxwell on the first delivery of the 15th over to bring some respite in KKR camp.
